As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing advanced practice care, including evaluating, diagnosing, prescribing medications, and managing treatment for clients. This role involves performing client assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing follow-up care. You will work closely with our team to deliver comprehensive services and promote positive outcomes for our clients.

* Key Responsibilities:
*** Perform client assessments and diagnose adult clients, developing and implementing treatment plans
* Conduct psychiatric assessments, including obtaining health and medical histories and ordering diagnostic tests
* Prescribe psychotropic medications and order diagnostic tests as delegated per collaborative practice agreement
* Provide brief psychotherapy and comprehensive follow-up care to clients
* Communicate effectively with attending physicians and other team members to identify problems and establish goals and objectives for treatment
* Participate in required meetings and contribute to data collection, program evaluation, and grant development
** Education, Experience, and/or Credential
Qualifications:
*** Master's degree in nursing as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana
* Certificate of recognition as an Advanced Practice Nurse in the state of Indiana
* Credentialing as an Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by a national certification body recognized by the state of Indiana
* Previous experience in the behavioral health field is preferred

* Additional Qualifications:
*** Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
* Ability to establish effective relationships via telephone and personal contacts
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with supervisory staff

* Physical Requirements:
*** Sedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects
* Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift
* Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, with occasional walking or standing
