Indiana University Health Medical Group is hiring a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient Neurosurgery department at Methodist Hospital! Join a highly skilled team providing care for ICU, Trauma, Neurovascular, stroke, spine and cranial surgery patients.

• Full time, Night Shift, Rotating Weekends
  • 3 12-hour days per week (6:00pm-6:30am)
  • APP's will do self-scheduling, and it will be worked out within the department
  • No call
• 100% inpatient
• Team includes 17 physicians and 30 APPs – working directly with 17 physicians and 11 APPs

• Simple wound closure after drain removal
• Lumbar puncture
• Shunt taps

• Evaluating new consults either in ED or on one of the inpatient units.
• Evaluating patient with neuro changes
• Inpatient care
• Discharges

• ACNP, AGNP, FNP or PA certification required
• Neurosurgical, Neurology, Trauma, ICU experience preferred
• General knowledge of neurological deficits and disorders preferred
• Acute Care certification or NP/PA with Neurosurgical and/or critical care experience preferred
