Indiana University Health has an exciting opportunity to expand women's health services by practicing full-scope midwifery in our hospital-based clinic at University Hospital and Riley Maternity Tower.
Position Details:
- Schedule includes rotating shifts with call and clinic coverage as needed.
- Work directly with 10-12 physicians and 20 APPs.
- 50% inpatient; 50% outpatient.
- Key responsibilities include midwifery services, prenatal and postnatal care, routine preventive gynecological care, contraception administration, and water births.
- Manage low to high-risk, complex patient populations.
- Procedures include vaginal delivery, episiotomy with repair, repair of 1st & 2nd degree lacerations, FSE/IUPC, LARC placement, vaginal microscopy.
Qualifications:
- Certified Nurse Midwife by the AMCB.
- Licensed or able to be licensed in Indiana.
- Collaborate with consulting physicians as needed.
- Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, teaching, and patient care skills, especially in emergent care settings.
- One year of experience preferred; previous clinic and hospital midwifery experience preferred.
