UNCF is a philanthropic organization that funds scholarships for students and raises general funds for 37 private historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). UNCF was founded in 1944 by William J. Trent, Frederick

D. Patterson, and Mary McLeod Bethune. Guided for more than 80 years by the principle, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste," UNCF has raised more than $6 billion in private support and helped more than 500,000 students, awarding more than $65 million in student scholarships each year. UNCF is committed to closing the educational attainment gap by increasing postsecondary access for particularly low‑income and first‑generation students.

• Serve as UNCF's brand ambassador in Indiana, leading the Indianapolis office and overseeing staff while driving new unrestricted revenue from corporations, individuals, foundations, and community partners to support its 37 member institutions.
• Set and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivate and steward major donors, manage a prospect portfolio, and secure multi‑year commitments through direct solicitation and volunteer leadership engagement.
• Oversee staff performance and development, ensure accurate donor records and reporting, and collaborate with finance to maintain data integrity and accountability.

• At least a bachelor's degree and seven or more years of fundraising experience, including demonstrated success in marketing or public relations and securing major gifts from corporations, foundations, and high‑net‑worth donors.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building, organizational and management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Raiser's Edge or Donor Perfect.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Salary range $90,000 to $105,000.
