Chicago, IL. This role requires associates to be in-office 1 - 2 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

Social Media Intern will be responsible for supporting the social media, PR and marketing teams to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement; and manage risk or issues on social media platforms.

This internship will be a full-time (40 hours/week) program that will run for 12 weeks (May 18th, 2026 – July 24th, 2026).

How you will make an impact
  • Develop, implement, and manage organic and paid social media campaigns and strategies that align with business goals to promote the brand and protect reputation.
  • Track, analyze, and report social media KPIs.
  • Perform social media marketing research.
  • Assist on influencer campaign strategy.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and identify emerging best practices.
  • Explore innovative cross-industry social media practices to pilot.
Minimum Requirements
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of the internship and work in-office at least once per week.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field at an accredited college/university.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences
  • Previous experience in social media management is preferred.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Linked In.

For candidates working in person or virtually in the below locations, the salary
* range for this specific position is $17.20/hr to $27.03/hr.
