Position: DIGITAL MEDIA SPECIALIST
Location: Indianapolis

Overview

The Digital Media Specialist is responsible for helping execute the company’s digital marketing strategy. This includes web content management, reputation management, social media, search engine marketing programs (SEM), search engine optimization (SEO), and agency/vendor relationships. The Digital Media Specialist will be instrumental in developing and maintaining the company’s internet marketing strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates SEO/SEM efforts and provides quarterly and monthly reports.
  • Completes keyword research, and utilizes Yahoo, Google, Bing Search Engine Marketing, Google AdWords, and other tools as well as tagging and titling content to improve or maintain search results.
  • Performs ongoing improvements and maintenance of the corporate website, including website structure and content, landing pages and other web-based assets.
  • Builds and maintains social media strategy, including blogging, Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, Instagram and new/emerging platforms for apartment communities managed by the company.

  • Ensures that online branding and lead generation decisions support the strategic business goals of the company.
  • Manages communication to internal teams about the performance of digital campaign efforts/results.
  • Monitors external reputation management in accordance with industry best practices. Ensures online reputation meets company benchmarks and strategizes to improve rankings and further engage with the customer.
  • Monitor and measure all properties’ virtual performance and ensure the leasing and resident virtual standards are carried out.
  • Creates, edits and posts video content for the company and apartment communities managed by the company.
  • Completes updates and performs troubleshooting for improvements needed with Internet Listing Sites (ILS).
  • Works with vendor partners and acts as a support liaison to the onsite property teams for sales management software (CRM), website tools, online application portal, email campaign tools, etc.
  • Takes pictures or coordinates photography of property buildings, clubhouses, model apartments, and employees participating in Glick events as needed.
  • Performs marketing training for apartment community employees of the company as needed.
  • Analyzes marketing data to identify trends and to ensure optimum performance and provides recommendations to the Digital Media Manager.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite creating and editing designs in Illustrator, InDesign, editing photography in Photoshop and editing videos in Premier.
Qualifications
  • A combination of education, training and experience equal to a Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, or a related field.
  • 1 - 2 years experience in online marketing (agency and/or in-house).
  • Demonstrated experience with SEO/SEM, content marketing, social media marketing, and social media lead generation.
  • Experience with web analytics software (Google Analytics, etc.).
  • Internet Technology - basic knowledge of general internet technologies such as HTML, Dreamweaver, JavaScript and URL structures.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tool and principles.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, metrics development, reporting/web development and Adobe products.
  • Website design and development skills.
  • Ability to research and implement the latest trends in online marketing.
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting aggressive deadlines.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
