LocationLocation: This is an onsite role, reporting into our manufacturing plant in Butler, Indiana. Relocation assistance will be provided for eligible candidates.
Your Role- As Plant Manager, you will drive continuous improvement and optimization of all processes and oversee the execution of the plant operations, including production, engineering, project execution, and financial performance for our Indiana location. This role is responsible for executing the strategy that delivers the operational efficiency necessary to maintain high-quality standards, enhance safety measures, generate outstanding customer satisfaction, and provides fuel for our Positive Associate Relations (PAR) culture.
- Assure key operating metrics are achieved by focusing on safety, quality, on-time delivery, cost, and creating a culture of continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement through deployment of standard work and productivity.
- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to meet or exceed production and customer's expectations.
- Increase production, asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
- Responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping.
- Allocate resources to efficiently optimize facility utilization.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction, understanding and focus to the team members.
- Monitor operations, identify problems and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste, and optimize labor utilization.
- Maintain a commitment to plant safety policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Product Design, R&D, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Innovation teams.
- Develop and utilize systems and processes that track and optimize productivity standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure an effective return on assets.
- Stay current with industry best practices in production management, technology, and innovation.
- Create a pipeline of future leaders through succession planning by cultivating an environment that promotes challenging work, clear goal-setting, career development, opportunities for exposure, and regular coaching and feedback.
- Develop and manage plant budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost control measures.
- Prepare and present reports on plant performance to senior management.
- Oversee planning and ensure capital and operational projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering;
Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering preferred. - 8 years of experience in a manufacturing operation; plant or operations manager
- Proven ability to create accountability and lead by example.
- Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
- A routine of visibility and friendliness on the manufacturing floor.
