Job Description
The Mission Critical Group team in Brookston, Indiana specializes in designing and building custom electrical switch gear and controls for a variety of applications. We engineer, build, and deploy specialized switch gear and control systems for the power generation industry. We are agile, fast-paced, and our goal is to provide our customers with clever, cost-effective products and solutions.
Under the direct supervision of our shop manager, the Wiring Technician performs electrical wiring and installation work on assigned switch gear. The technician will support production schedules and follow procedures including safety protocol, installation processes, and other instructions to help meet quality standards and timely delivery.
Responsibilities- Wiring of control panels and switchboards, by following wiring diagram instructions.
- Point to point wiring, crimping/cutting wire, and wire labeling
- Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary or other assigned duties.
- Responsible for personal and area safety
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent or relevant experience
- Work well in a team environment. Add to the culture. We all help each other.
- Proper utilization of all common electrical hand tools
- Self-motivated
- Attention to detail because each wire matters.
- Neat and tidy in work done
- Basic computer literacy
- Satisfactory completion of additional background screening (if applicable).
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred certifications (OSHA
10, CPR)
