Role Summary
The Operator Formulation/Prep is part of the Formulation/Prep Operations at Lilly’s Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing site. The role manufactures and fills injectable parenteral products for domestic and international markets and supports a best-in-class, global production line with advanced technologies. Operators will learn transferable skills from a global team and support current and upcoming products within a 24x7 operation.
Location:
Indianapolis, Indiana.
- Ensure strict compliance with established policies/procedures (Safety, Production Procedures, Sanitization, Gowning, Etc.) and complete training and qualifications to stay current and qualified to perform the job.
- Adhere to Parenteral Plant safety policies and procedures, contributing to a safe work environment.
- Perform sanitizations in classified areas to maintain the sterility of the area, operation, and product.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product.
- Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation following Good Documentation Practices.
- Set up and perform operation tasks in both aseptic and non-aseptic processes.
- Prep equipment for the filling line to use in the filling process.
- Formulate drug products to be filled into syringes on the filling line.
- Teardown and wash equipment used on the filling line.
- Pre- and post-test filters used during drug product runs as well as filters used on canisters for equipment.
- Must be able to wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing tasks.

- Shift varies with areas to support 24x7 operations
- 8-hour days for training
- Transition to permanent day shift position as schedule progresses forward
- 12-hour Days (3-2-2-3) permanent shift
- Some overtime work may be required
- Some products in Parenteral Operations are known allergens and consequently, a post offer allergy test may be required
