Supervisor - Manufacturing Operations- Lebanon API

Role Summary

The Supervisor Manufacturing Operations is directly responsible for managing the manufacturing operations for their respective area and shift, ensuring health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are met. They supervise operators in the direct execution of manufacturing operations to safely and compliantly support the production of high-quality medicines to meet schedules, and provide leadership to ensure appropriate staffing and equipment/process compliance for their area and shift.

• Build and promote a strong Safety and Quality culture; maintain a safe working environment and conduct operations to protect safety, environment, and quality.
• Ensure operations comply with regulatory requirements at all times.
• Ensure the manufacturing area supports the execution of the production plan for the site.
• Maintain consistency of operations on the designated shift through active floor engagement.
• Complete audit action items assigned to operations in a timely manner.
• Set objectives and development plans for operators; address employee relations issues on shift and elevate as needed.
• Manage events with appropriate team communication and provide input to investigations.
• Build and develop a team with clear purpose and good team spirit.
• Ensure operators are trained and that SOPs and training materials are current.
• Communicate site objectives and team priorities to operators.
• Ensure the team is adequately resourced to meet objectives, appropriately managing overtime.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required:
  
  5+ years' experience directly supporting an API or chemical manufacturing operation or equivalent
• Required:
  
  Chemical synthesis experience or equivalent chemical processing experience
• Required:
  
  Demonstrated leadership experience
• Required:
  
  Skills in providing/receiving feedback and creating employee development plans
• Required:
  
  Basic computer skills (desktop software)
• Required:
  
  Solid understanding of FDA guidelines and cGMP requirements
• Required:
  
  Ability to work 12-hour shifts
• Required:
  
  Ability to work overtime as required

• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in science, engineering, or technical field
• Preferred:
  Previous experience in facility/area start-up environments
• Preferred:
  Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing operations
• Preferred:
  Ability to travel to other Lilly locations for training purposes
• Preferred:
  Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
• Preferred:
  Ability to work with a team, make independent decisions, and influence diverse groups
• Preferred:
