Position Brand Description

The Operator will work in the Indianapolis Device Assembly and Packaging plant where Lilly products for domestic and international markets are assembled and packaged. The primary purpose of the job is to assemble and package products.

Key Objectives/Deliverables
  • Adhere to IDAP Site safety policies and procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.
  • Setup and operations of equipment in assembly, labeling, and packaging areas.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and current Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure quality of product.
  • Document process steps on appropriate batch documentation.
  • Attain and maintain qualification for the operation of assigned process equipment and duties in the area.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements.
  • Proactively monitor documentation and product quality, properly documenting all activity and reporting issues to supervision.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of Work Simulation and must pass a “fitness for duty” physical exam, which includes safely lifting up to or more than 20 lbs.
  • Sponsorship:
    Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role.

Additional Details
  • Manufacturing has multiple shifts, most 12 hours, on a 3-2-2-3 schedule.
  • This role is hiring for both day and night shifts.
  • Initial training may require a different schedule temporarily (e.g., 5 days x 8 hours or 4 days x 10 hours).
  • Some overtime may be required.
  • Some products may involve allergens; post-offer allergy testing may be required.
  • Safety equipment must be worn (safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, etc.).
  • Training may include moving materials with manual pallet jacks and motorized equipment.
Education Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
Other Information
  • This position is not permanent. It is a fixed duration of two years, extended annually up to four years, and employed directly by Eli Lilly. It includes a competitive benefits package.

  • Actual compensation depends on candidate’s education, experience, skills, and location. Typical wage range is $17.30 - $38.08 per hour. Full-time employees are eligible for a company bonus and a comprehensive benefits program.
