A growing metals manufacturing and recycling company is seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support equipment reliability and performance in a high-temperature, heavy industrial environment.
This hands-on position is ideal for a technician with experience in foundry, metal processing, or industrial manufacturing who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems and ensuring plant uptime.
OverviewThe Industrial Maintenance Technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation. This individual will work closely with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial machinery and support systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
- Maintain and service: Furnaces, ovens, and thermal processing systems; Conveyors, bucket elevators, and material-handling systems; Hydraulic power units, pumps, and cooling systems; Compressed air systems and dust-collection equipment; Motors, gearboxes, and drive assemblies; PLC-controlled automation, sensors, and instrumentation; Overhead cranes, hoists, and lifting systems.
- Collaborate with production teams to plan and schedule maintenance around operations.
- Assist with equipment installations, rebuilds, and plant upgrades.
- Manage spare-parts inventory, tools, and consumables.
- Document all maintenance activity in a CMMS or log system.
- Participate in root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Follow all OSHA and environmental safety standards and promote safe work practices.
- 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in metals, foundry, die-casting, or heavy manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical drives, and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience with furnace or thermal processing equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with AC/DC motors, PLCs, and control panels (Allen-Bradley a plus).
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience with CMMS systems or preventive maintenance scheduling.
- Welding, fabrication, and rigging skills a plus.
- Technical certification or degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical, or Electrical Technology preferred.

Compensation: $70,000 – $90,000 + Bonus
