Machine Center Operator

Responsible for operating conventional, special‑purpose and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines safely to fabricate metallic parts to production and quality standards in an ISO
9001 environment.

• Operate machinery/processes (manual, NC, CNC) in assigned work cell or area.
• Setup and operate all assigned equipment/processes in the work cell, validated by the Machine Coordinator and Production Leadership.
• Work cross‑functionally between machines and cells.
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out‑of‑tolerance machining.
• Verify conformance of workpiece to specifications.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Confer with engineers, production personnel, programmers or others to resolve machining problems.
• Initiate and/or support process improvements and corresponding documentation.
• Train other team members in assigned operations as needed.
• Follow Work Instructions for each step of the process to meet acceptable production standards during and after training completed.
• Maintain hourly/daily activity records supporting quality production.
• Assure compliance with all safety, environmental and health standards, procedures, and practices.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must "OWN SAFETY".
• Experience using inspection gauges (e.g., calipers, micrometers, indicators, Go‑No Go gages, pin gages, dial indicators, height gage, depth gage, thread gage, bore gage, V‑blocks).
• Must be able to read blueprints (title blocks, views, dimensioning, tolerancing, surface callouts, symbols, lines).
• Must be able to use shop math as required (decimals, fractions, metric conversions, angles, offsets).
• Must be a proactive problem solver, willing to learn and accept challenges.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, and push or pull parts or containers frequently.
• Ability to read and understand job instructions.
• Pass pre‑employment background check, essential functions assessment, and drug screen.
• Must be willing to work a split shift from 10:30 am – 9:00 pm, Monday – Thursday.
