CNC Process Setup Machinist — Fanuc​/Mazak​/Haas

Mi‑Tech Tungsten Metals is seeking a 1st shift CNC Process Setup Machinist to establish robust setups, validate new programs, and keep high‑mix jobs running smoothly. You’ll be the bridge between programming and production—turning setup sheets into repeatable, high‑quality parts.

• Assemble tooling and work holding per setup documentation; verify alignment and clamping strategy.
• Configure mills and lathes with the right fixtures, tools, and materials to meet job requirements.
• Prove out programs: set tool and work offsets, conduct safe dry runs, and qualify first-article parts.
• Pinpoint and resolve programming issues (G/M code edits, post tweaks, toolpath adjustments).
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and shop teammates to optimize process capability.
• Inspect work and perform routine equipment maintenance to sustain capability and uptime.

• 3–5 years of CNC setup or related machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and computer skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Understanding of GD&T—datums, feature control frames, and symbols to define conditions and tolerances—is a plus.
• Proven troubleshooting and root‑cause problem solving.
