Location: Berne
A family-owned metal stamping operation with decades of stability is hiring multiple Tool & Die Makers to support high-tonnage presses and large, complex dies. This role is hands‑on, production-focused, and critical to keeping presses running and customers happy.
Tool & Die Maker Benefits And Compensation- Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM - Shift differential – $0.60 then $1 after 90 days
- Attendance bonus added to hourly pay

- Experience building, repairing, and maintaining stamping dies
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- Comfortable working directly with production and press operators
- Willingness to work on‑site in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Troubleshoot tooling and press‑related issues to minimize downtime
- Perform layout, fitting, grinding, and assembly of die components
- Support medium‑to‑large dies used in high‑tonnage stamping
- Make on‑the‑fly tooling adjustments during production runs
- Document die repairs, maintenance, and tooling changes
- Experience in metal stamping environments
- Exposure to large or complex dies
- Background supporting progressive or transfer dies
- TIG welding experience
- Interest in long‑term growth through apprenticeship or lead roles
