POLYWOOD® is looking for a Welder who takes pride in craftsmanship and enjoys hands‑on work that blends precision welding, fabrication, and quality focused production. This role is ideal for someone who values accuracy, works well with technical equipment, and wants to see their work come to life in durable, beautifully designed outdoor furniture.
As part of our Fabrication Department
, you will play a key role in building the structural components that support the strength, function, and appearance of POLYWOOD® products.
- Weld various braces and structural support components
- Fabricate multiple styles of aluminum chaise lounge braces
- Weld aluminum table supports and brackets
- Produce steel grids for table reinforcement using MIG welding
- Perform TIG welding for most aluminum components
- Perform MIG welding for aluminum and steel as needed
- Operate Laser CNC equipment including loading material and importing and editing cut files
- Monitor equipment and assist with paint line loading and unloading of parts
- Weigh and measure coatings and monitor spray booth systems
- Maintain tools and equipment including pre-treatment systems, ovens, and powder applicators
- Conduct quality inspections and report defects or concerns
- Support department safety, cleanliness, and organization standards
- 3 or more years of welding or fabrication experience preferred
- Proficiency in TIG and MIG welding on aluminum and steel
- Familiarity with CNC cutting and fabrication systems
- Strong attention to detail with a quality driven mindset
- Ability to lift 25–100 lbs and work 8–10 hour shifts
- Reliable, safety focused, and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
- A proactive approach to craftsmanship, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Skills:
- Experience working with Laser CNC equipment
- Prior exposure to powder coating or finishing processes
- Experience welding components for furniture, structural frames, or precision assemblies
