Job Description
gpac is working with a well-established national food manufacturing that is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day maintenance operations on 1st shift at one of their facillities in southern Indiana, they will relocate.
This role is perfect for a hands-on leader with strong technical skills and a background in food or protein manufacturing.
What You'll Do:
- Lead, mentor, and schedule maintenance technicians on 1st shift
- Ensure equipment reliability and reduce downtime through preventive and predictive maintenance
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation issues
- Maintain compliance with food safety, OSHA, and GMP standards
- Partner with production leadership to support efficient plant operations
- Coordinate work orders, spare parts, and contractor activities
- Drive continuous improvement in equipment performance and maintenance processes
- 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in food manufacturing (protein experience a plus)
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting background
- Knowledge of PLCs, packaging equipment, conveyors, mixers, and processing systems
- Solid understanding of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Excellent communication, organization, and team-building skills
