The Manufacturing Supervisor oversees all manufacturing operations, including bath bomb production, packaging, labeling, inventory control, and sublimination production. This role leads the department team, plans and prioritizes daily/weekly work based on demand, maintains accurate stock levels of raw materials and finished goods, and ensures products are produced, packaged, and staged accurately and on time. The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for enforcing safety and quality standards, maintaining SOPs, improving processes, and providing regular reporting to management on production, inventory, and team performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manufacturing Operations
  • Oversee all manufacturing processes from raw material staging through finished goods completion.
  • Coordinate daily/weekly production activities to meet demand, schedules, and customer needs.
  • Ensure equipment, workstations, and processes support safe, efficient production.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to drive productivity and reduce waste.
  • Ensure adherence to quality, housekeeping standards, and safety procedures.
  • Oversee all sublimination production workflows, ensuring accurate, timely output based on production needs and demand.
  • Operate and manage the computer program/software used to create and print sublimination designs (including selecting correct files, settings, and print specifications).
  • Print and prepare sublimination transfers, including printing off designs/prints to be sublimated, organizing them by job/product, and ensuring readiness for production.
  • Maintain print quality standards (color alignment, clarity, sizing, and correct template usage); troubleshoot common print issues and escalate equipment/software concerns as needed.
Inventory & Materials Management
  • Manage inventory tracking for raw materials, packaging supplies, sublimination supplies and finished goods.
  • Monitor usage rates and on‑hand levels; anticipate shortages and coordinate replenishment needs.

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts through cycle counts and reconciliations, address variances promptly.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are entered in a timely and accurately in the company’s system(s).
  • Maintain organized storage practices and clear labeling for materials and finished goods.
Packaging & Finished Goods Stock
  • Oversee packaging operations to ensure products are packaged correctly, labeled accurately, and prepared for shipment or storage.
  • Maintain proper stock levels of finished goods based on demand forecasts and order needs.
  • Coordinate packaging priorities with production requirements and inventory availability.
  • Ensure packaging materials are available and aligned to production schedules.
People Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and coach manufacturing and packaging employees to ensure consistent performance.
  • Assign daily tasks across production, packaging, and sublimination based on workload and deadlines.
  • Assign work, manage daily priorities, and ensure proper coverage for production needs.
  • Enforce policies related to attendance, safety, conduct, and performance expectations.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, cross‑training, and performance reviews as needed.
  • Promote a positive, accountable team culture with a strong focus on quality and safety.
Reporting & Communication
  • Own reporting for production output, labor utilization, downtime, scrap/waste, and inventory accuracy.
  • Provide regular updates to management on department performance, risks, and priorities.
  • Track demand‑driven production and packaging needs; communicate constraints and recommended actions.
  • Maintain documentation and SOPs for manufacturing, inventory, sublimination and packaging processes.
Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or additional training preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing/production (supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred).
