We are seeking a detail-oriented AutoCAD Detailer to produce accurate, build-ready technical drawings for custom exhibits and display structures. This role supports the transition from design concept to fabrication by ensuring all components are fully detailed, manufacturable, and compliant with production standards, materials, and venue regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Create detailed 2D and 3D fabrication drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and part details
- Develop construction, hardware, and assembly drawings for carpentry, metal, graphics, AV, and electrical components
- Translate design concepts into efficient, practical fabrication solutions
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and revision control across all drawing sets
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and fabrication teams to resolve technical issues
- Review designs for manufacturability, structural integrity, material efficiency, and cost considerations
- Coordinate with vendors and fabricators to confirm specifications and tolerances
- Select materials and hardware based on durability, weight, cost, and show requirements
- Identify production risks early and propose corrective solutions
- Ensure compliance with fire codes, venue regulations, electrical standards, and client specifications
- Provide drawing support and revisions during fabrication and build phases
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and 3D modeling
- Strong knowledge of fabrication methods including woodworking, metalworking, plastics, and CNC processes
- Ability to read and produce highly detailed technical drawings
- Experience with exhibit, display, or custom fabrication projects preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
