CNC Routing Technician, Sign & Display Fabrication

$20.00/hr - $28.00/hr

• Translate design proofs, CAD drawings, and art files into accurate CNC cut paths.
• Operate the CNC router to cut, shape, and engrave a range of materials with tight tolerances.
• Dial in the setup: table prep, vacuum hold-down, bit selection, spindle speeds, and feed rates.
• Use shop software to review/modify designs, apply cutting parameters, and verify output.
• Select, size, and prep raw stock so it’s clean, square, and ready to run.
• Load/unload sheets safely and return materials to proper storage.
• Run additional shop equipment when needed; assist with cutting, gluing, and assembly.
• Inspect incoming materials and finished parts to confirm specs and finish quality.
• Handle routine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and coordinate repairs when required.
• Track tooling and consumables; reorder to keep the router ready and productive.
• Keep a tidy, safe, and organized work area; follow PPE and machine safety protocols.

• 1+ years of hands‑on CNC routing in signage, woodworking, plastics, or related fields.
• Ability to read CAD files, technical drawings, and proofs accurately.
• Comfort with sign shop or CNC programming software.
• Strong knowledge of bits, cutting speeds, feeds, and tooling strategies across materials.
• Experience with aluminum, acrylic, PVC, wood, foam, and composite materials.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for precision.
• Mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
• Organized, deadline‑driven, and detail‑oriented.
