PARTS SHIPPING AND RECEIVING

Reports To:

Parts Manager

Summary

The Parts Shipping and Receiving position is responsible for the day-to-day shipping and receiving duties, including freight company relations and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive shipment, confirm shipment is accurate.
  • Distribute received shipment to warehouse or appropriate Department.
  • Receipt invoice for Inventory purposes.
  • Pick, stock and restock inventory.
  • Shipment of all packages via UPS, Fed EX and all other applicable methods.
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed.
  • Assist in housekeeping duties including recycling materials, collecting & disposing of trash.
  • Assist in inventory functions including cycle counts, physical inventories, and warehouse organization.
  • Interact with freight companies to provide the best freight solutions for the business.
  • Process applicable paperwork including freight bills, packing slips, and bill of ladings.

Individual should know how to operate a fork lift or a strong ability to learn, have basic knowledge pò of computers, posa excellent organizational and communication skills. Additional Qualifications
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate standard departmental equipment for example, operates a PC, pallet jack, fort lift etc.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, stands, and walk for long periods of time.
  • Operate motor vehicles
  • Lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Other duties as required
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Position is normal for a manufacturing environment. Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and gloves. Loose fitting clothes and
Physical Requirements
  • Mobility:
    The individual should be capable of moving around the repair shop, including walking, standing, and potentially bending or kne mathematisch giving to inspect vehicles or equipment.
  • Vision:
    Good eyesight and visual acuity are important for the individual to oversee repairs, inspect components, read technical manuals, and ensure quality control.
  • Hearing:
    The individual should have good hearing to communicate effectively with technicians, customers, and vendors, and to be aware of any audible warnings or अस signals in the repair shop.
  • Manual dexterity: A certain level of manual dexterity is required for the individual to handle paperwork, use computer喘 systems, and potentially assist technicians with tasks such as parts ordering or equipment setup.
  • Lifting:
    While heavy lifting may not be the primary responsibility of the individual, the ability to occasionally lift and move objects such as tools, equipment, or parts may be necessary.
  • Work with strong organizational skills.
