Our client is currently seeking a QUALITY ASSURANCE SUPERVISOR in Indiana.
We are a leading consumer products company specializing in food manufacturing, committed to delivering high-quality, safe products to our customers. Our Indiana facility operates 24/7 to meet growing demand, and we are seeking a dedicated leader to oversee quality assurance on the 3rd shift.
Position Summary:
The 3rd Shift Quality Assurance Supervisor will lead a team of quality technicians during overnight operations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards, quality specifications, and regulatory requirements. This hands‑on role involves supervising quality checks, audits, and processes in a fast‑paced food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, resolve quality issues, and maintain a strong focus on GMP, HACCP, and overall product integrity.
- Supervise and mentor a team of quality assurance technicians on 3rd shift, including training, performance feedback, and scheduling.
- Oversee in-process and finished product inspections, testing, and documentation to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and federal regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA).
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality supervision within a manufacturing environment. Prior food manufacturing experience required, with strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations. Ability to work independently during 3rd shift hours (typically 10 PM - 6 AM or similar, with potential for weekends/overtime).
