Responsibilities- Supports Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts through planning and executing the preventative, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment.
- Attends to break downs, diagnoses faults, and oversees equipment improvements and time-critical repair.
- Manages spare parts inventory.
- Oversee the continuous monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation through routine inspections.
- Create, implement, and maintain the preventative maintenance program for production, including inspection of plant equipment and inventory for replenishing parts.
- Maintain documentation, machine history, and all other appropriate documentation for production equipment, including requesting replacement for any tools/equipment when necessary.
- Rebuild, repair, and maintain a wide variety of production and processing machinery and equipment, using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments. Include welding, fabrication, pneumatics, hydraulics, and knowledge of electrical equipment (controllers, PLCs, robotics, servo motors, encoders, electrical troubleshooting and instrumentation). Assess and implement modifications to improve PMs and reduce downtime.
- Minimize downtime of plant equipment through effective use of Electrical/Electronic maintenance skills.
- Ability to think proactively, follow instructions, and complete duties with minimal supervision; able to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to create and follow a routine maintenance schedule.
- Electrical experience including three-phase and single-phase power and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) skills.
- Good communication skills at all levels.
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery, equipment, and tools; mechanically inclined.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and safely using sound judgment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with exposure to Microsoft Word and Excel.
- High school diploma
- 5 years of maintenance experience preferred
- Proven mechanical & electrical aptitude
