Experienced Fabricator / Welder

At J.W. HICKS, INC we are seeking an experienced fabricator in Knox, Indiana. We are dedicated to producing the best refractory products and value hard work and attention to detail.

• Weld and fabricate product as indicated on mechanical drawings.
• Operate cutting tools and grinders to prepare components.
• Operate forklifts, overhead crane, and pallet movers to move materials and products.
• Maintain raw material and product identification to assure traceability.
• Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

• 8-10 years of MIG welding/fabricating experience.
• Competence in interpreting mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Understanding of proper use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to learn.
• High school diploma or GED.

• Familiarity with crane and forklift operations.
• Basic computer literacy.
