Overview
2nd Shift Maintenance Technicians (Industrial) are onsite in Indianapolis, Indiana, to support Carrier Climate Solutions Transportation. The facility manufactures residential and commercial gas furnaces and is recruiting two (2) Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join the Manufacturing Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities- Keep the machines and equipment in efficient operating conditions
- Inspect machines and perform preventive maintenance
- Dismantle, move and repair industrial machinery and equipment
- Conduct modification, fabrication, and installation of industrial machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning industrial machinery and equipment
- Follow site safety rules and processes in the associate handbook, cardinal rule cards, job-specific standard work and relevant EHS training documents
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current journeyman's card for machine repair OR successfully completed a Skilled Trades Apprenticeship Program for machine repair OR successfully complete (80% or higher) the applicable Industrial Assessment Test
- 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
- Able and willing to join the local union
- Willing and able to complete the Carrier safety programs successfully
- Work from defined drawings and specifications
- Understand and use a wide variety of precision measuring instruments
- Demonstrated ability to perform operations involving use of industrial machine tools
- Use shop mathematics and handbook formulas
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks throughout the entire shift
- Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the USA. No visa sponsoring available.
