Welder and Fabricator

Job Description

• Read blueprints and drawings, take/read measurements for layout and procedures.
• Set up components for welding according to specifications.
• Operate angle grinders to prepare parts for weld.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points for guides.
• Use precision measuring instruments.
• Operate hand tools and other shop equipment such as grinders, positioners, turn-rolls, etc.
• Weld multiple materials utilizing numerous weld processes.
• Perform material handling functions using fork trucks, overhead cranes, etc.
• Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machines and work area. Communicate with co-workers and team leaders.
• Iron Workers / Connectors - Connecting structural steel components.
• Ability to operate telehandlers and aerial work platforms.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a welder for a minimum of 2 years.
• Experience in using electrical or manual tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Possible travel.
