Parts & Facilities Assistant — Evolve Transporters is a high-end custom fabrication company with locations in greater Indianapolis, Indiana and Cleveland, Ohio. Our clients are some of the biggest motor sport teams and brands in the world, for which we assist in designing and fabricating race transporters. This position reports to: Parts & Inventory Coordinator

Location: Indianapolis, IN

What You Can Expect In This Role

The Parts & Facilities Assistant provides day-to-day support to both the Parts & Inventory Department and the Facilities Team. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work and wants to learn about both inventory management and facility operations.

Key responsibilities include running and delivering parts, helping maintain inventory accuracy, assisting with facility upkeep, supporting production missions, supporting safety processes, and coordinating small errands or vendor tasks to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Parts & Inventory Support
  • Deliver and pick up parts, fuel and supplies locally as needed.
  • Assist with receiving, labeling, and organizing parts and supplies.
  • Help maintain stockroom organization and ensure parts are accessible for production.
  • Record inventory transactions under supervision, keeping systems up to date.
  • Support shipping and packaging of parts for customer or vendor deliveries.
  • Facilities Support
  • Assist with general facility upkeep, including shop organization and cleanliness.
  • Support facility inspections (fire extinguishers, first aid kits, forklift checks, etc.)
  • Coordinate small facility needs with vendors (janitorial, landscaping, supplies, etc.)
  • Help maintain tools and equipment in good working order
  • Run errands for facility or project support (supplies, vendors, service partners, etc.)
  • Support production team with collecting and discarding scrap.
  • Safety & Operations
  • Follow company safety procedures and help enforce safe practices in the shop.
  • Report facility or equipment issues promptly to supervisors and team leaders.
  • Assist with safety meetings, equipment setup, signage updates, or training materials as directed.
  • General Support
  • Provide assistance to production teams by delivering materials, parts, or supplies to work areas.
  • Assist with transporter cleaning and organizing prior to delivery.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
  • Support all departments with forklift needs.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and stoop in both office and shop settings.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
Preferred Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, or facilities support is a plus but not required.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and/or inventory software preferred.
  • Mechanical or shop experience a plus.
