2M (Miniature and Micro‑miniature) Electronic Technician

Responsibilities- Perform 2M miniature and micro‑miniature electronic repairs on circuit cards, modules, and assemblies used in U.S. Navy EW systems.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components in accordance with NAVSEA and DoD technical manuals.
- Conduct soldering, rework, and precision component replacement under microscope using approved Navy repair standards.
- Maintain repair records and documentation per NAVSEA Standard Item and NSTM requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance personnel to ensure repairs meet standards.
- Support depot maintenance operations as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in machining or manufacturing preferred.
- Typically 10 years of experience in the duties listed above, equivalent to 10 years of work experience, OR an Associate’s degree with six years of experience.
- Current 2M (Miniature/Micro‑Miniature Electronic Repair) Certification – required.
- Demonstrated experience performing fine‑pitch soldering, board‑level troubleshooting, and component‑level repair.
- Strong attention to detail, quality control, and adherence to Navy workmanship standards.
- Familiarity with U.S. Navy maintenance procedures, Navy drawings, and MIL‑STD documentation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer‑related requirements, U.S. citizenship is required.
Other RequirementsThis position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standard under a Wage Determination. Under the SCA, selected candidates are entitled to both the hourly rate and a health and welfare benefit, provided by a bona fide plan including certain insurance coverage.
