The Extraction Operator is responsible for working in the facility as a texturized soy protein concentrate (TSPC) / extrusion team member who will be responsible for all aspects of the process, lab duties, and control room. This position requires participation in all sanitation, housekeeping, environmental safety, and emergency guidelines in all areas of the facility. This position has primary focus on extrusion and packaging of a texturized food product.

Hourly pay rate - $29.92
What You’ll Be Doing- Actively participate in all aspects of safety including near miss reporting and meetings
- Follow all process safety procedures and controls
- Operate all aspects of TSPCprocess and boiler operation
- Know and follow all safety, environmental, and emergency procedures.
- Keep all work areas, buildings, and grounds clean at all times
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Good reading and writing skills
- Ability to take instruction and follow directions
- Strong focus on work instructions to ensure process safety
- Must be comfortable working in high places
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must have initiative and demonstrate strong customer service skills
- Must be self-motivated with the ability to work unsupervised
- Positive attitude
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Experience in food processing or FDA regulated environments
- Strong mechanical skills
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
