We are seeking an experienced Production Lead to supervise our truss fabrication team, specializing in metal plate-connected wood roof and floor trusses. This hands‑on role ensures efficient production, quality control, and team safety in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Oversee daily truss production operations, including cutting, assembly, and pressing.
- Lead a team of 10-15 sawyers and fabricators, assigning tasks and providing training.
- Monitor inventory, equipment maintenance, and workflow to meet deadlines.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality standards per industry regulations.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize processes for efficiency.
- 3+ years in truss manufacturing or a similar woodworking/metal fabrication supervisory role.
- Knowledge of truss design software (e.g., Alpine or Mitek) and machinery operation.
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification a plus.
$18 - $26 hourly
