Location: Indianapolis
Responsibilities
- Must be capable of lifting product weight up to 30 pounds overhead while inside a trailer.
- Performs all work in a safe manner and in accordance with all Plant and Departmental Safety Rules. Assists fellow employees to ensure that no one is exposed to risks of injury, i.e. changing a battery.
- Primary duties include loading and unloading trailers and railcars. Requires "hand-stacking" loads of traditional and padded trays in high cube trailers.
- Sweep or prepare trailers for loading. Ensures trailer wheels are chocked and the I.C.C. bar is locked into position before loading. Complete PFS inspection sheet for each load.
- Report all equipment safety hazards, mechanical defects, or warehouse/trailer damage to the Supervisor or Distribution Coordinator.
- Records accurate count of all materials loaded and unloaded on outbound and inbound shipments and initials picking lists to verify the count.
- Repackages finished product as required and performs final checks on all loaded bags onto trailers.
- Assists in keeping the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
- Must be able to use a barcode scanner to scan all loads out.
- Education/
Work Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience working in a manufacturing facility preferred. - Language Ability:

Ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team - Computer
