Service Center Manager - Drilling Equipment

A growing equipment and service organization is seeking a Service Center Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a service and sales facility in the Central Indiana market. This role is responsible for managing people, processes, and performance while delivering a high level of service to customers and supporting long-term business growth.

Candidates must have experience with Drilling Equipment.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, adapts well to change, and takes ownership of operational results.

• Lead daily operations of the service center, including service execution, scheduling, and shop performance
• Partner with senior leadership to establish annual goals and operational priorities
• Drive service revenue growth while maintaining a strong customer-first focus
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to identify service opportunities
• Increase shop productivity and billable hours year over year
• Recommend capital investments to improve service capacity, efficiency, and quality
• Manage staffing, facilities, tools, systems, and operational reporting
• Lead, coach, and develop team members through training, goal setting, and ongoing feedback
• Establish and enforce processes that improve efficiency, consistency, and service quality
• Handle hiring decisions, time approvals, and performance-related actions
• Maintain flexibility and prioritization in a fast-moving environment

• Prior supervisory or management experience in a service, shop, or operations environment
• Strong customer service orientation and relationship-building skills
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Decisive leadership style with the ability to solve problems under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Mechanical aptitude; experience in equipment or technical service environments preferred
• Familiarity with ERP systems; SAP experience a plus
• Willingness to work extended hours as business needs require
