Position: Environmental Services Supervisor

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Hours: Full Time

Salary: $18.00 – $20.00/hr

Assists the Department Manager in providing quality environmental services in an efficient, cost-effective manner in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards and objectives.

• Performs all environmental services‑related tasks demonstrating service orientation.
• Assists in the implementation of environmental services programs designed to provide clean, sanitary facilities.
• Regularly inspects completed work and completes Quality Management reports.
• Recommends new methods to improve overall performance.
• Assists in the development of staffing assignments (duty lists) ensuring efficient completion of cleaning and laundry tasks.
• Maintains accurate reports and records.
• Assists in recruiting, hiring, supervising, and evaluating employees ensuring standards of performance are met.
• Accurately completes all required forms and reports on a timely basis.
• Assists in the orientation, development and motivation of supervisory staff, ensuring proper training and performance standards.
• Implements inventory control procedures by recommending supplies, quantity, and timing of orders.
• Maintains inventory records.
• Ensures equipment is clean and in proper working condition, recommending new equipment when required.
• Coordinates activities with other departments for meeting room set‑up and furniture moving.
• Serves as acting Supervisor in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Develops effective facility relations through formal and informal programs.

• Supervise and manage Environmental Services staff members.
• Regularly interact with facility staff and administration.
• Have regular contact with company regional personnel.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in healthcare‑related environmental services.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience within the environmental services field.
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written skills.
• Experience with training methods and techniques.
• Must provide proof of legal status to work.
• Must pass physical examination required by client.
