All About Food & BeverageThe Food & Beverage team ensures a consistent experience for guests by keeping products fresh, in stock, accurately priced, and properly signed on the sales floor. They lead food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing for all Food & Beverage areas.

- Food & Beverage business fundamentals – department sales trends, freshness, inventory management and pricing strategies.
- Planning workload to support business priorities and deliver sales.
- Leading a team of hourly employees – interviewing, developing, coaching, evaluating and retaining talent.
- Understand and execute daily/weekly workload to meet department and store sales goals and guest engagement.
- Work a schedule aligned to guest and business needs, including early morning, evening, overnight shifts and weekends.
- Assign daily tasks based on workload and guest traffic patterns, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- Assess back‑of‑house, production areas, dining spaces and merchandising areas to maintain food safety and inventory levels.
- Walk Daily Food & Beverage Standards, review reporting and identify gaps for follow‑up.
- Follow all food safety requirements, monitoring and recording temperature‑sensitive items, per Target policies.
- Validate team progress against department checklists.
- Lead team to uphold Starbucks and Pizza Hut Brand Standards, where applicable.
- Build relationships with district managers, attend in‑store planning and business meetings.
- Maintain accurate in‑stocks and inventory through best practices.
- Make production decisions to ensure freshness, sales and profitability.
- Stay current on trends and products to educate team members.
- Participate in hiring and onboarding processes.
- Establish goals and hold team to expectations under direction of direct leader.
- Complete Food Safety Manager Certification and required Starbucks/Pizza Hut training.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance and lead team accordingly.
- Model safety practices, identify hazards, assist with incident response and report injuries.
- Show inclusivity, respect diversity and create equitable experiences.
- Use best practices, coach, and develop team skills.
- Model physical security processes and support merchandise protection.
- Follow emergency and compliance procedures.
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest/team issues.
- Support guest services such as back‑cashier, order pick‑up and drive‑up while maintaining compliance.
- Greet guests, engage with them, solve requests and thank them for shopping at Target.
- Perform all other duties based on business needs.
- You enjoy interacting and helping others.
- You thrive in a fast‑moving, highly active, physically demanding environment.
- You are open to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays and peak times.
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Age 18 or older.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Strong interest and knowledge of the food service business.
- Leadership and accountability skills.
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently.
- Remain composed in a fast‑paced environment.
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team.
- Effective communication skills.
