At Flaherty & Collins Properties, we specialize in building, operating, and transitioning communities with intention and care. From brand-new lease-ups to management takeovers and property sales, our transitions set the tone for long-term success. We're looking for a Transition Coordinator who thrives in organized complexity, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and takes pride in launching properties the right way.
What You'll Do:- Lead operational transitions for new lease-ups, property takeovers, and property sales.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between ownership, internal teams, and external partners during transitions.
- Ensure properties are operationally ready, including systems setup, utilities, technology, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinate pre-leasing setup for new communities, including offices, model units, and vendor readiness.
- Oversee due diligence activities such as lease audits, data migration, vendor reviews, and compliance checks.
- Manage timelines, checklists, and transition plans to ensure nothing is missed.
- Facilitate transition calls and cross-functional communication to drive accountability.
- Support onboarding, training, and handoff to permanent onsite teams.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, company standards, and brand expectations.
- Coordinate vendor onboarding, contract transitions, and service continuity.
- Support financial and operational close-out activities during property sales or exits.
- Travel to properties during key transition phases to provide hands-on support.
- 5+ years of property management experience, including lease-ups and/or property transitions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Experience with property management software (Yardi, One Site, Real Page, Knock, Bluemoon, etc.).
- Confident communicator who can train, motivate, and support onsite teams.
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable leading.
