RV Manufacturing Group Leader

Gulf Stream Coach, Inc. based in Nappanee, Indiana is a leading name in the recreational vehicle (RV) industry, dedicated to creating high-quality, innovative RVs that provide exceptional comfort and adventure for our customers with a legacy spanning several decades is looking for experienced Group Leaders to join our team.

As our next experienced Group Leader. This person will manage, lead, and motivate employees to achieve daily operations, resolve issues, and train staff to ensure quality targets are met and drive efficiency with the Plant Superintendent’s direction.

• Manage daily tasks, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and support overall department goals.
• Train new employees, provide expert advice, and foster a positive team environment.
• Exhibit leadership by fully sustaining the mission, values, and principles of the company.
• Achieving goals and objectives in support of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
• Empower employees in your group to take ownership of their job.
• Make sure that all areas of the work place are safe and report any unsafe conditions immediately to plant superintendent.
• Ensure high-quality service and identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate to employee’s changes in product, policy, and processes.
• Assist in documenting processes and work instructions as needed.
• Report potential shortages of material to Superintendent.
• Maintain scrap reports on a daily basis and other daily reports as needed.
• Be a working member of the team to whatever degree assigned by Superintendent.
• Identify and communicate issues that may require disciplinary action.
• Verify quality and completeness of each unit before it moves to the next station.
• Communicate to the Superintendent of any extra units for extra work performed, etc.
• 3 years of Group Leader experience (Experience must be noted on your resume)
• Extensive product knowledge of RV’s, in one or all areas:
  Electrical, Plumbing, Shelling, Slide outs, Floors, Chassis, Decking, Roof, Final, Parts, etc.
• Knowledge of RVIA Codes a plus.
• Strong Communication & Interpersonal skills.
• Excellent problem-solving & strategic thinking.
