We are the proud facilitators of Girl Scout camp at five Indiana locations, conveners of thousands of Girl Scout programs with nearly 600 community partners and serve thousands more community members each year at our STEM Center of Excellence and Founders Lodge Event and Conference Center.
- Ensure implementation and execution of strategic plans, goals and initiatives of program pillars (STEM, Entrepreneurship, Outdoors, and Life Skills), including but not limited to planning, programming and oversight of council community programs and summer camp programming.
- Use local data, surveys, and input from service units, girls and families when creating program offerings, as well as the annual council program portfolio.
- Serve as a vehicle to increase overall camp usage and occupancy for both Girl Scouts and non‑Girl Scout groups through outdoor experiences and opportunities.
- Direct the implementation of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE), Outdoor program pillar and badges; develop strategies, and internal and external collaborations to advance programmatic priorities within GSCI at your assigned camp property location.
- Direct the design, implementation, facilitation and assessment of high quality, relevant, well‑executed, outcomes‑based programs, and effective delivery systems to meet the needs and interests of girl members and adult volunteers from diverse ages, communities, and backgrounds. At least half of all programs offered will be tied to GSUSA badges.
- Create and facilitate outdoor training opportunities in conjunction with the Sr. Director of Volunteer Experience.
- Expand and maintain a robust portfolio of outdoor programming for girls, volunteers, families, and guests at this camp property location housed within gs Events.
- Employee may be expected to live at a camp or on campus up to 9 weeks during the summer, and/or create, manage, and chaperone council trips during the summer or school breaks.
- Expand and maintain occupancy usage at the camp property location by offering additional program opportunity add‑on options and facilitator assistance when needed to ensure that customer service is met with our guests – both outside and inside groups.
- Ensure council revenue goals are achieved through program fees by preparing program project budgets in conjunction with the Senior Director of Council Programs and Camping Services and following the adopted plan of expenses plus 20% revenue in all areas of program.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of long‑ and short‑term innovative program initiatives that help retain and attract new members and develop leadership skills in girls and adult volunteers.
- Recruit, manage, support, and recognize volunteers and volunteer committees to meet the goals and objectives for GSCI.
- Access dashboards daily to track individual and team progress, as well as team goals.
- Exemplify and model professional and quality customer service to members, volunteers, staff, and other community contacts, which includes returning calls and emails, addressing and closing cases, following up on tasks, and documenting all within Salesforce within 8 business hours.
- Ensure teams use outcome measurement and evaluation tools for all programs; implement assessments, report results, and adapt program curriculum and delivery based on results.
