The Location

Cambridge City, IN site.

The Pay Range

$24 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. The upper end of the range is not guaranteed.

The Schedule

Shifts start as early as 5:00 am Monday‑Friday. Rotating weekends may be required once trained, with a pay differential included.

The Role

As a Team Coordinator in Animal Production, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless daily operations of the animal care team. The position involves training and motivating staff, coordinating supplies, and maintaining compliance with SOPs. You will lead by example, conduct audits, facilitate communication through daily huddles, and drive production goals. Additionally, you will support data entry, record‑keeping, and create key documents while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist supervisory staff in training new employees.
  • Back up animal care technicians as required.
  • Coordinate and order supplies.
  • Enter information into databases.
  • Inform supervisor or manager of problems.
  • Audit the work of Animal Care Technicians, including line audits, SOP compliance, record‑keeping, and packing accuracy.
  • Ensure production goals are met, initiating changes if necessary.
  • Provide input to supervisor on performance of Animal Care Technicians.
  • Create documents, including COPC and E-Pack.
  • Hold daily huddles with Barrier Leaders.
  • Promote a positive work environment.
Education and Experience
  • Associate degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college or technical school, or equivalent technical/managerial experience.
  • Preferred certifications: AALAS, LVT/CVT.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communication at all organizational levels.
  • Effective in one‑on‑one or small group settings.
  • Good listening skills and ability to understand others’ points of view.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Regular physical activity: climbing, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work with chemicals, heavy machinery, and protective measures, with exposure to occupational hazards.
  • Environment may involve extremes in temperature, outdoor conditions, strong odors, and elevated noise levels.
