The core responsibilities of this role include:
The Maintenance Specialist is responsible for conducting preventive maintenance and performing repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role includes installing new equipment, maintaining accurate documentation of maintenance activities, and managing inventory of supplies. Additionally, the Specialist ensures compliance with safety regulations and may assist with sanitation duties as needed.

Position:
First (1st) Shift Maintenance Specialist

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities

In addition to the general job description below, the following responsibilities are expected:

  • Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and building systems.
  • Identify and resolve issues before they cause equipment failure or downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders via an online maintenance management program.
  • Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Install new machinery and equipment as needed and assist in the setup and calibration to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inspections, and repairs.
  • Update maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts, and order necessary parts and materials.
  • Work closely with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and outside vendors regarding maintenance issues, solutions, and scheduling repairs.
  • Assist in or complete sanitation duties to maintain cleanliness and ensure food safety and quality guidelines are followed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:
