Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

The Maintenance Team Leader provides leadership and oversight for maintenance operations within a manufacturing or industrial facility. This role is responsible for ensuring effective maintenance of building utilities, production equipment, and facility grounds. The position ensures departmental objectives are met with respect to safety, quality, cost control, and project execution.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to a senior maintenance or facilities management role.

Accountabilities

The Maintenance Team Leader is accountable for ensuring equipment reliability, availability, and performance. This role is also responsible for the hiring, training, and ongoing development of qualified maintenance personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the preventive maintenance program
• Manage and maintain the maintenance work order system
• Ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance projects, including:
• General facility repairs
• Safety-related work
• Equipment breakdowns
• Tools and machinery maintenance
• Building and infrastructure projects
• Provide recommendations regarding repair versus replacement of equipment and the use of external service providers when necessary
• Support the integration and installation of capital equipment
