Job DescriptionHours:
Monday thru Friday, 2pm-1130pm
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical equipment and circuits, including power distribution systems, motor control centers and backup emergency switch gear. Follows appropriate preventative maintenance schedules to ensure proper maintenance and maximum life of the equipment. May participate in customer service activities related to electrical distribution, nurse call systems, TV systems, public address systems and other equipment and systems. Reports problems through the work order system and suggests solutions to systems and equipment.
May participate in the planning and execution process for remodeling and construction. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Completing PM's and Corrective Maintenance work orders in CMMS within allotted time
- Responding to emergency calls
- Working on project work
- Troubleshooting issues
- Supporting critical systems
- Collaboration with other departments
- Following safety and environmental protocol, identifying opportunity for system improvement
Must have:
- CMMS experience
- Ability to prioritize workload and to work independently
- Good communication and attention to detail
- Able to read blueprints
- Maintaining quality records
- In-depth electrical troubleshooting experience, running conduit and cables/wires, low-voltage system experience
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Formal Electrical Training in a healthcare environment preferred.
- Requires ability to read and interpret information from blueprints, schematics and diagrams.
- Requires current knowledge of various federal, state, local, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and Joint Commission codes and regulations.
- May be required to furnish own hand tools.
- Requires a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
- Requires experience in commercial or institutional environment working with electrical equipment and circuitry.
