Controls Technician - 2nd Shift

dormakaba Americas is hiring a Controls Technician for the second shift (1:00 PM–9:30 PM) in Indianapolis, IN. The Control Technician will install, program, test, calibrate, operate, and repair control systems, along with their related software, hardware, and equipment.

$34.00 /hr – $37.00 /hr plus 1 hr shift differential and mandatory overtime as needed.

• Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to control and monitoring systems and perform needed repairs.
• Test and calibrate system devices to ensure functional reliability of operating/monitoring systems.
• Install, modify, and maintain system hardware such as electrical conduit, sensor wiring, power supplies, and control system enclosures.
• Maintain and operate workstations, including creating/updating a point database and maintaining infrastructure.
• Program control systems using appropriate system program language for proper sequences of operations and operating schedules.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience installing and maintaining building/plant control systems and their related equipment.
• Experience with PC and application software.
• Knowledge of Ladder logic and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).

• 2+ years of electrical technical training.
• Associate’s degree in a related technical field.
