Summary
:
Our client is seeking an Associate Attorney who is a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join their foreclosure practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is designed for an attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working directly with clients, and has a strong interest in foreclosure and real estate law. The Associate Attorney will take on responsibility for preparing and reviewing foreclosure-related pleadings, managing contested foreclosure cases, and providing excellent client service through regular updates and case management.

This is a hybrid position requiring a minimum of two days each week in the office in the Indianapolis metro area. The position offers a competitive salary, supportive culture, and opportunities for career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and approve foreclosure-related pleadings with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage all aspects of foreclosure cases, including contested foreclosures from start to finish.
  • Participate actively in mediations, depositions, and hearings, both telephonic and in-person.
  • Conduct legal research and apply findings to foreclosure and real estate matters.
  • Maintain open and consistent communication with clients, providing updates through client systems, email, and phone.
  • Attend regular client meetings to discuss case progress, address concerns, and provide legal guidance.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and colleagues to ensure quality legal service delivery.
  • Handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
  • Identify problems and resolve them in a timely manner while balancing competing priorities.
  • Uphold the highest standards of client service, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
  • Assist with additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.
  • Stay informed about legal and regulatory changes affecting foreclosure and real estate law in Indiana.

Must Haves / Requirements

Summary:

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with the Indiana State Bar.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience handling Indiana foreclosure cases.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining accountability for deadlines and quality.
  • Comfort working in a hybrid role requiring presence in the Indianapolis metro office at least two days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using client management systems and legal technology to track case progress and manage workload.
  • Prior work in real estate law or related practice areas within Indiana.
  • Demonstrated success in handling contested foreclosure matters.
