Description
Amazon Web Services (AWS) serves customers and developers who rely on storage, compute, and our other service capabilities. AWS is growing rapidly and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager (DSM) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team to help manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.
Key Job Responsibilities- Manage physical security operations, develop post orders, define security procedures, and handle site incidents.
- Work with security equipment, participate in construction projects, and drive day‑to‑day process improvement activities.
- Manage vendors and ensure consistent deployment of all required security policies and procedures.
- Participate in recurring site audits and reviews, and test new security technologies.
- Demonstrate resilient leadership, flexibility in a dynamic environment, and exceptional knowledge of security practices.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. You’ll join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles, collaborating across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security.
BasicQualifications
- 2+ years of overseeing security operations and working with security vendors/contractors.
- Experience with physical security best practices, including the application of physical security systems, investigation techniques, and management of contract security guards.
- Experience using computers and Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with access control and CCTV systems.
- Experience in commercial or industrial work.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects and adapting to change.
- Experience using data and metrics to improve processes and customer satisfaction.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
