Capgemini Government Solutions (CGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Security Engineer to join our Aerospace team in Indianapolis, IN. The successful applicant will work closely with government clients to provide technical support in information security response, security monitoring and audit/compliance activities. The role focuses on three main areas in Security Engineering and Operations.

Job Responsibilities- Run activity monitoring and respond to health of various security tools.
- Incident response – take appropriate actions regarding tooling within the remit of the SET.
- Triage requests incoming to the Engineering Team mailbox and Service Management intake queue, ensuring ownership within the wider team and proper assignment.
- Ensure integrity of client IT infrastructures.
- Keep all security toolkit infrastructure healthy.
- Support toolsets including SIEM, IDPS, GVM and malware protection.
- Record and respond to health alerts from the security infrastructure we maintain.
- Configure and adjust policies, features, and enhancements as needed, in response to security incidents and client requests.
- Troubleshoot security tools that may affect business applications when needed.
- Respond to and follow core IT service‑management principles.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of information‑security principles, including malware analysis, emerging threats, attack techniques, and vulnerability management.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- 5–7 years of experience working in a SOC environment as a security‑engineering specialist.
- Experience supporting a large global enterprise environment.
- Solid, demonstrable comprehension of information security, including malware, emerging threats, attacks and vulnerability management.
- Customer‑service skills including resolution of customer escalations and incident‑handling response.
- Cloud security experience.
- Programming and/or scripting language experience (C, .NET, Python, Perl, etc).
- Experience in Unix/Linux and editor vi.
- Technical certifications: CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCFA, GPEN, GCCF, CISA, CWSP, CCSP, CCNP, MSCE, Security+, or other relevant certifications in vulnerability analysis, ethical hacking or penetration testing.
- Experience in change control, problem management, incident management and troubleshooting of security solutions.
- Technical proficiency in at least one enterprise SIEM platform (e.g., Arc Sight, Envision, Q1 Radar, Nitro Security) and at least one enterprise network intrusion‑detection system (e.g., HP Tipping Point, Source fire, McAfee).
- Familiarity with the aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing industries.

Capgemini discloses salary range information in compliance with state and local pay‑transparency obligations. The disclosed range for this role at the tagged location is $100K–$120K.
