A leading industry company is seeking a skilled IAM Security Engineer to join their team. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement and is focused on managing critical identity and access certifications within enterprise IAM platforms. This is a temporary position lasting approximately 27 to 52 weeks, ideal for professionals looking to showcase their expertise in identity governance and security operations.
The opportunity is suited for those with strong technical backgrounds in IAM, particularly with hands‑on experience in SailPoint and Saviynt platforms, and a solid understanding of access control concepts, audit support, and process improvements. IAM Security Engineer Responsibilities:- Lead end‑to‑end management of access certification processes, from design and configuration to execution and closure.
- Set up and monitor various types of certifications, including manager, entitlement, privileged, and application account reviews, ensuring timely completion.
- Conduct thorough post‑certification reviews, validating decisions, coordinating access revocations, and ensuring proper documentation for audits.
- Identify potential risks and control gaps related to access governance, recommending and implementing process enhancements.
- Support operational IAM activities such as provisioning, access revocations, and request processing, aligning with standards and policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Significant experience working with IAM platforms, especially SailPoint and/or Saviynt.
- Proven track record managing access certifications across various identity types.
- Deep understanding of IAM principles like least privilege, RBAC, and non‑human identity management.
- Strong analytical, project management, and documentation skills, with the ability to support audits and identify improvement opportunities.
