The Office of Judicial Administration is responsible for the efficient administration of all agencies that operate under the direction of the Chief Justice and the Supreme Court. That includes over 200 personnel handling fiscal management, communication, technology, legal services, intergovernmental relations, services for the trial courts, and support for court boards, commissions, and committees. The Office is headed by Interim Chief Administrative Officer Aaron Hood, who reports directly to the Chief Justice of Indiana and serves as the link between the Chief Justice and the agencies of the Court.

Salary:
The salary for this position traditionally starts at $98,000 but may be commensurate with education and/or experience.

About The Job

The Deputy IT Director of Infrastructure oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of an organization’s core technology systems, including networks, servers, cloud platforms, and data centers. They support the IT Director in setting strategic direction, ensuring system reliability and security, managing budgets and vendors, and leading technical teams to deliver scalable and resilient infrastructure services. This position will require the incumbent to be available for the on-call rotation.

Day In The Life
  • Develop and execute the organization’s IT infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of core systems including servers, storage, cloud platforms, and data centers.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities across all infrastructure services.
  • Establish and enforce infrastructure standards, policies, and best practices for reliability and operational excellence.
  • Support the IT Director in managing infrastructure budgets, capital planning, vendor relationships, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee infrastructure incident response, problem management, and root-cause analysis to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
  • Build, mentor, and evaluate high-performing infrastructure team members.
  • Provide executive-level reporting on system performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives, cloud migrations, and modernization efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and governance requirements.
