Job Summary

Theoris Services is assisting our client in their search for an IAM Security Engineer focused on Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Certifications. This is a senior, hands‑on role responsible for the end‑to‑end lifecycle management of identity and access certifications across enterprise IAM platforms, primarily SailPoint and Saviynt.

This role designs, executes, monitors, and closes manager, entitlement, privileged access, application account (non‑human identity), and event‑based certifications, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, audit expectations, and least privilege principles. The ideal candidate brings strong audit awareness, operational discipline, and the ability to identify control gaps and process efficiencies across identity governance processes.

When certification activities are not the primary focus, this role will support IAM provisioning operations, including Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) workflows and certification‑driven access revocation activities.

Responsibilities
  • IGA Certification Lifecycle Execution
    • Own the full lifecycle execution of access certifications, including design, configuration, launch, monitoring, escalation, closure, and documentation.
    • Configure and manage certifications within SailPoint and Saviynt, including manager access, entitlement‑level, privileged access, application account/non‑human identity, and event‑based certifications.
    • Define certification scope, reviewer assignments, schedules, escalation rules, and completion criteria.
    • Actively monitor certification campaigns daily, managing follow‑ups and escalations to ensure timely completion.
  • Post‑Certification Remediation
    • Validate certification decisions and initiate access revocations.
    • Track remediation activities to completion.
    • Partner with IAM provisioning teams and application owners to ensure accurate execution.
    • Ensure certifications are formally closed with complete, audit‑ready documentation.
  • Audit Readiness & Control Effectiveness
    • Identify audit risks, control gaps, and governance weaknesses related to identity certifications.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen compliance posture.
    • Serve as subject‑matter expert during internal and external audits.
    • Produce defensible documentation and reporting to support audit inquiries.
  • Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
    • Analyze certification performance metrics including completion rates, escalation trends, and remediation timelines.
    • Identify automation and configuration improvements within SailPoint and Saviynt.
    • Collaborate with IAM engineering teams to enhance IGA capabilities and governance maturity.
  • IAM Operations & Provisioning Support
    • Support Joiner, Mover, Leaver (JML) workflows.
    • Execute certification‑driven access revocations and exception tickets.
    • Perform manual provisioning and deprovisioning as needed.
    • Ensure operational work aligns with IAM standards, SLAs, and least privilege principles.
  • Collaboration & Technical Leadership
    • Serve as a senior IAM technical resource.
    • Partner with Application Owners, Security & Risk, Audit & Compliance, and IT Operations teams.
    • Communicate certification status, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Strong hands‑on experience with SailPoint and/or Saviynt.
  • Demonstrated experience executing access certifications across user, entitlement, privileged, and non‑human identities.
  • Strong understanding of IAM concepts, including least privilege, role‑based access control, non‑human identity management, and Joiner/Mover/Leaver processes.
  • Proven ability to identify audit risks and process improvement opportunities within IAM programs.
  • Experience supporting audits related to access governance and identity controls.
  • Strong Excel proficiency.
  • Strong documentation and project coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a regulated environment (financial services, healthcare, or similar).
  • Familiarity with NIST, SOX, SOC, or similar compliance frameworks.
  • Experience collaborating with IAM operations and provisioning teams.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
