Systems Support Specialist

HighPoint Digital's professionals focus exclusively on helping government agencies and companies implement their most critically strategic initiatives. The role of System Support Specialist contributes to HighPoint Digital by testing the functionality of systems, links, formatting, layout, and accuracy of all content in multiple environments.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain, test, and develop enhancements for the applications (LMS, HTKR, UCMC, Content Viewer, SharePoint, etc.) based on user needs and business requests.
  • Track content deployment requests, ensuring QA has been completed in each environment as content works its way through environments until the deployment is verified in production.
  • Perform System/508/functional testing on eLMs/NGD/Content Viewer/Applications during release cycles.
  • Work with project managers and Business Partners to help plan releases.
  • Create task lists.
  • Develop plans of implementation.
  • Communicate issues, concerns, and status reports.
  • Test the functionality of systems, links, formatting, layout, and accuracy of all content in multiple environments.
  • Track all content deployments to ensure testing has been completed in each until verified in production.
  • Develop and maintain test cases for application release testing.
  • Maintain and develop tools used during verification process.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
  • Ability to track multiple work products in numerous environments.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow test cases, checklists, job aids, SOPs, and any other team documents.
  • Analytical skills for data analysis.
  • Ability to support and engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Creative problem‑solving skills in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative to stay current on latest products, system releases, processes, and industry trends.
  • Knowledge in JavaScript, Java, SQL, XSLT/XPath, CSS, Ruby, and Bash.
Education and Years of Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and 1 to 3 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Testing experience preferred.
