Description of Duties:

The User Interface / Front-End Website Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining user-facing website features, with a strong emphasis on HTML and JavaScript. A key component of this role involves supporting and executing content management system (CMS) migration initiatives to ensure a seamless transition of digital content and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using HTML and JavaScript.
• Translate UI/UX design wireframes into high-quality, functional code.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to implement website features.
• Lead or support migration of website content from one content management system to another.
• Validate and test migrated content to ensure formatting, functionality, and data integrity.
• Troubleshoot and resolve front-end issues during and after migration.
• Maintain documentation for code, processes, and migration workflows.
• Implement best practices for accessibility and SEO.

Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience with HTML5 and JavaScript.
• Experience working with and migrating content management systems (e.g., Word Press, Drupal, Sitecore, or similar).
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles.
• Familiarity with CSS and modern front-end frameworks/libraries is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with CMS migration planning and execution.
• Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services.
• Basic understanding of SEO best practices.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum environments.
